The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a notice stating an increase in the mineral severance tax rate for Grainger County. Effective May 1, the new rate of 20 cents per ton will apply to all sand, chert, sandstone, limestone, and gravel severed from the ground. [Tenn.
