Tennessee DOR Issues Notice on Mineral Severance Tax Rate Increase for Johnson County

The Tennessee Department of Revenue issued a notice stating an increase in the mineral severance tax rate for Johnson County. Effective April 1, the new rate of 20 cents per ton will apply to all sand, chert, sandstone, limestone, and gravel severed from the ground. [Tenn.
