The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a notice stating that Sequatchie County is increasing its mineral severance tax rate. Effective April 1, a mineral severance tax of 20 cents per ton will be applied to all sand, chert, sandstone, limestone, and gravel severed from the ground. [Tenn.
