The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission July 2 proposed to amend and repeal excise tax regulations on alcoholic beverage licensing. The proposal includes measures to: 1) amend application and fee payment procedures; 2) clarify that applicants must pay fees by cashier’s check, teller’s check, a check drawn on the account of the entity applying for a permit, money order, credit card, charge card, or other electronic form of payment; 3) provide that each applicant for a license, permit, or certificate issued by the commission must submit the fee with the application; and 4) provide that the commission must review fees at ...
