Texas Amends Taxation on Broadband Internet Service, Increases Access

The Texas Governor signed a law that expands broadband internet access and reduce taxes on internet services in the state. The law revises definitions related to qualifying broadband services, establishes a broadband development program to award grants and loans for broadband infrastructure projects, and exempts internet access services from state sales taxes.
