A Texas jury correctly found that cold-storage units in a San Antonio produce warehouse were overvalued for tax purposes, a state appeals court ruled Wednesday.
The Bexar Appraisal District wanted the Texas Court of Appeals, Fourth District, to reinstate its assessments of each of the 60 condominium units in the San Antonio Wholesale Produce Market. “This case boils down to a battle of the experts, and the jury is the sole judge of the credibility of the witnesses and the weight to be given to their testimony,” Justice H. Todd McCray wrote for the court.
