Texas Comptroller Announces Property, Sales, Excise, Franchise Tax Relief for Taxpayers Affected by Wildfires

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts March 1 announced relief for taxpayers impacted by recent disasters in Texas, for corporate income, sales and use, excise, and property tax purposes. The Governor has issued a proclamation, dated Feb. 27, declaring a state of disaster in a certain number of counties based on the existence of wildfires that pose an imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life or property.
