The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Oct. 22 announced that the single local sales and use tax rate for remote sellers is 1.75 percent, effective Jan. 1, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2022. The rate is equal to the estimated average rate of local sales and use taxes imposed in Texas during the preceding state fiscal year ending August 2021. [Tex. Comptroller of Pub.
