The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Oct. 10 determined in a letter ruling that the economic development sales and use tax authorized under Local Government Code, Chapter 505 (Type B Corporations) continued to be imposed and collected in the City of Pasadena. Taxpayer, the Pasadena Economic Development Corporation, sent a letter to the comptroller in 2017 indicating that it was not providing notice to stop collecting the tax.
