Texas Comptroller Issues Sales, Excise Tax Information on Renewal of Cigarette, Tobacco, E-Cigarette Retailer Permit

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts March 25 issued information on the renewal of cigarette, cigar, and/or tobacco products and e-cigarette retailer permits for 2024-2026, for sales and use and excise tax purposes. The fastest and easiest way to renew permits is electronically via the comptroller’s Webfile system. Permits for the current period expire on May 31.
