The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Aug. 1 published information on a Voluntary Disclosure Agreement (VDA) program for franchise, sales and use, and excise taxpayers to report previously unpaid or underpaid taxes to the comptroller’s office. The program provides a taxpayer with the opportunity to pay the taxes voluntarily, with relief from penalties and interest. Statutory penalties and interest will be waived, except interest on taxes collected and not remitted.
