Texas Comptroller Publishes New, Additional Sales and Use Tax Rate Changes, Effective July 1

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts June 1 published new and additional sales and use tax rate changes, effective July 1. The comptroller provides: 1) Corral City (Denton County), formerly Draper, and Corral City Municipal Development District have changed their legal names; 2) the city of Hawley (Jones County) has imposed or increased the additional city tax for street maintenance and repair and city sales tax purposes; and 3) Bulverde/Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 3 has abolished its local sales and use tax.
