The Texas Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court’s dismissal of taxpayer’s claims against the Denton Central Appraisal District (DCAD) and its chief appraiser. Taxpayers had challenged their property tax assessments and questioned DCAD’s implementation of the Texas Tax Code. The Court held that the Texas Tax Code provides the exclusive remedies for property owners to protest their taxes, and the property owners failed to utilize those remedies.
