Texas Legislature Creates Water Control, Improvement District, Includes Tax Provisions

The Texas Legislature enacted legislation creating the Montgomery County Water Control and Improvement District No. 7. The law includes: 1) granting the district a limited power of eminent domain; 2) providing the district authority to issue bonds; and 3) providing the district authority to impose assessments, fees, and taxes.
