Texas Publishes Details on Fee on Cigarette, Roll Your Own Products

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts has published details regarding the fee on cigarette and roll-your-own (RYO) tobacco products from non-settling manufacturers (NSM) and subsequent participating manufacturers (SPM). The rates for this special fee are adjusted annually on February 1, with the current rates effective from Feb. 1, 2025, through Jan. 31, 2026, set at 4.22787 cents per cigarette stick or 0.09 ounces of RYO for NSM/SPM products, and 1.15308 cents per cigarette stick or 0.09 ounces of RYO for SPM products.
