UK professionals outsourcing tax returns of their clients to a third party are still obligated to register as tax advisers under new rules to be phased in next week.
His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs won’t automatically refuse registration due to minor issues and will give firms an opportunity to resolve the issue, the tax authority said in a release.
Under the new regime, professionals who interact with HMRC on behalf of clients need to register as tax advisers and meet certain minimum standards.
