Utah Provides Deadlines for Property Tax Exemption Applications, Decisions

The Utah Governor signed a law modifying provisions related to the property tax exemption process. The law includes: 1) providing deadlines for taxpayer property tax exemption applications and written decisions on applications by a county Board of Equalization (BOE); and 2) providing that a BOE can revoke an exemption where property no longer qualifies.
