The Utah State Tax Commission May 1 issued a bulletin correcting information about sales tax rate changes in Brigham City, effective July 1. The bulletin clarifies that: 1) Brigham City will only repeal the 0.25 percent mass transit tax authorized under the state code; 2) the 0.3 percent mass transit tax will remain in effect; and 3) the new combined sales tax rate is 6.65 percent.
