Vermont DOT Publishes Guide on Filing Property Tax Renter Rebate Claim Online Using Bulk Upload

The Vermont Department of Taxes (DOT) Oct. 1 published a guide on filing property tax renter rebate claims online using a bulk upload with myVTax. Landlords who have two or more residential units must provide each tenant and the DOT with Form LC-142, Landlord Certificate, by Jan. 31. When landlords file their certificates through myVTax, the system automatically sends the certificate to the DOT. The landlord must then give the tenant a paper or electronic copy to use to file a renter rebate claim.
