Vermont Makes Changes to Environmental Fees, Programs

The Vermont Governor signed an Act relating to miscellaneous agricultural subjects. The law includes: 1) imposing an additional $50 pesticide product registration fee; 2) setting the paint stewardship assessment for architectural paint by statutory specification; and 3) renaming the Paint Stewardship Program the “Paint Product Stewardship Program” and expanding its requirements to producers of aerosol coating products, coating-related products, and nonindustrial coatings. Certain sections of the law take effect on June 11, and other sections of the law take effect on July 1. [H. 484, enacted 06/11/25]
