The Vermont Department of Taxes released a revised publication announcing free tax help for Vermonters to assist them in filing state and federal tax returns. The publication includes free tax help through: 1) free electronic filing or filing through “MyFreeTaxes”, a partnership that provides free federal and Vermont electronic filing for qualified individuals; 2) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs; and 3) the AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide Program.
