Virginia Tax Department Issues Information on Peer-to-Peer Vehicle Sharing Tax

The Virginia Department of Taxation June 1 issued information on peer-to-peer vehicle sharing tax. The DOR provides tax obligations for vehicle-sharing platforms and vehicle owners who use these platforms. The information includes: 1) the tax rates based on the size of the vehicle fleet; 2) the registration procedures for new and existing businesses; and 3) instructions for filing and payment. [Va.
