Virginia Tax Department Issues New Retail Sales and Use Tax Return, Instructions for 2024

The Virginia Department of Taxation has issued Retail Sales and Use Tax Return Form ST-1, effective for return filings for periods beginning on and after April 1. The new form also contains a payment voucher, Form ST-1V. The new form replaces the following four forms: 1) Form ST-9, Retail Sales and Use Tax Return (InState Retailers); 2) Form ST-6, Direct Pay Permit Sales and Use Tax Return; 3) Form ST-8, Out-of-State Dealer’s Sales and Use Tax Return (Remote Sellers); and 4) Form ST-7, Business Consumer’s Use Tax Return.
