Walmart Legal Chief Brand Preparing to Leave Retail Giant (1)

Rachel Brand, Walmart Inc.’s top lawyer, is leaving the company on Jan. 31 to pursue the next chapter in a nearly three-decade legal career.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said Monday in a memo that Brand, who joined the retailer in 2018, would assist in the transition of her duties and search for her successor. After stepping down as chief legal officer, corporate secretary, and executive vice president of global governance, Brand will remain a member of the board at the Walmart’s Mexican subsidiary Walmex, McMillon said.
