The Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 30 announced that it will begin accepting applications for the Working Families Tax Credit (WFTC) for tax year 2024 on Feb. 1, providing payments up to $1,290 to eligible individuals and families. The WFTC program, which launched in 2023, has issued over 359,000 refunds totaling more than $263.4 million as of last year, benefiting nearly 158,000 families with children and over 287,000 children.
