Washington DOR Announces Sales Tax Rate Change for City of Port Angeles Transportation Benefit District

The Washington Department of Revenue Nov. 1 announced that effective Jan. 1, 2024, the city of Port Angeles will establish a Transportation Benefit District. The sales and use tax within the city will increase one-tenth of one percent (0.001) to fund transportation services. The new 0.089 total sales tax rate includes 0.065 state sales tax and 0.024 local sales tax.
