The Washington Department of Revenue Jan. 11 announced that the local sales and use tax rates for car dealers and leasing companies within King County will increase by one-tenth of one percent (0.001) to fund cultural access programs, effective April 1. Businesses must collect the appropriate new tax rate on retail sales and services provided within the county.
