Washington DOR Issues Excise Tax Information on Marysville City Licenses

The Washington Department of Revenue June 1 issued excise tax information on business license requirements and fees for the city of Marysville. The city imposes: 1) a $65 origination fee and a $40 renewal fee for all general and home-based businesses located or conducting business within city limits; 2) a $65 origination and a $40 renewal fee for all nonresident businesses with reported gross annual income above $2,000; 3) a $5 fee to register a business name as the trade name; 4) a variable fee for business license applications; and 5) no fee for state tax registration.
