Washington DOR Issues Excise Tax Information on Mukilteo City Licenses

The Washington Department of Revenue Aug. 1 issued excise tax information on business license requirements and fees for the city of Mukilteo. The city imposes: 1) variable fees determined by the gross annual income earned within this city’s limits and the number of employees for all general businesses located or conducting business within city limits, including home businesses located in a residence and non-resident businesses operating within the city; 2) a $5 fee to register a business name as the trade name; 3) a variable fee for business license applications; and 4) no fee for state tax registration.
