Washington DOR Issues Federal Way City License Requirements, Fees

The Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) Oct. 1 issued the Federal Way city license requirements and fees for excise tax purposes. The information includes: 1) the licensing fee for general businesses (variable), home businesses ($51), and non-resident businesses (dependent on gross annual income); and 2) the fee for state tax registration ($0), registering a business name as a trade name ($5), and the business license application ($19). The DOR mentioned that businesses should contact the city directly for more information on home occupation requirements and business license exemptions. [Wash.
