Washington DOR Publishes Updated Local Real Estate Excise Tax Rates, Effective April 1

The Washington Department of Revenue March 12 published information updating local real estate excise tax (REET) rates, effective April 1. The publication includes tables showing the applicable code and the local REET tax rates, arranged by county and municipality. The state REET tax rates are based on the taxable selling price of the property and the predominant use of the parcels in the transaction.
