WB to Get $12.6M in California Tax Credits for DC Comics Spinoff

WB Studio Enterprises Inc. is on track to receive more than $12.6 million in California tax credits for the production of a big-budget DC Comics Inc. spinoff called “Birds of Prey.”

WB’s production of “Birds of Prey,” starring Australian actress Margot Robbie, is expected to spend almost $63 million on in-state qualified expenditures, according to the California Film Commission. Officials from the commission touted the film as the latest “big-budget win” for the state in an announcement July 23.
