Wisconsin DOR Announces Premier Resort Area Tax Changes

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) updated Publication 403 providing information about the premier resort area tax, including who is subject to the tax, which sales are subject to the tax, and how to report the tax. The updated publication announces that effective July 1, the City of Sturgeon Bay and the Town of Minocqua have adopted the 0.5 percent premier resort area tax requiring certain sellers to collect this tax on taxable sales made to customers.
