The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 1 published updated homestead credit situations and solutions for individual income tax purposes. The publication lists common situations that require special attention and may require additional documentation when filing a homestead credit claim. The situations relate to: 1) missing tax form attachments; 2) verification of income, property taxes, rent; 3) electronically filed claims; and 4) spouses residing in separate homesteads or nursing homes.
