The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 2 released guidance detailing varying individual income tax rates, as well as sales, use, county, and city tax rates. Notable changes include: 1) an increase in Milwaukee County sales and use tax from 0.5 percent to 0.9 percent, effective as of Jan. 1, 2024; and 2) the implementation of a two percent sales and use tax rate for the city of Milwaukee, effective as of Jan. 1, 2024.
