The Wyoming Governor signed a law concerning sales and use taxes. The law includes provisions: 1) changing how the Department of Revenue (DOR) provides notices to taxpayers related to sales and use taxes; 2) removing the requirement for certain notices to be sent by mail and specifying that written notice sent using the contact information provided by the taxpayer will fulfill notification requirements; and 3) providing that the DOR may send notices electronically if a taxpayer has provided electronic contact information. The law takes effect July 1. [S.F. 80, enacted 02/27/26]
