A compliance campaign in development at the IRS is focused on examining issues arising from the 2017 tax law as a whole.
“We are working on kind of a different model for an initial tax reform campaign and expect details to be out in the coming weeks or months,” said Nikole Flax, deputy commissioner for the agency’s Large Business & International Division.
The division will continue using issue-specific campaigns, such as one that’s already been announced on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s one-time repatriation tax on offshore earnings, she said Friday at a tax conference in Washington.
