Adidas Headquarters Raids Continue in Tax Investigation

Adidas AG faced a second consecutive day of raids by criminal prosecutors and customs investigators, intensifying a years-long tax investigation into the German sports brand.

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday that it was carrying out “evidence collecting activities” in Germany and Austria against a sportswear group, though it didn’t name Adidas. The subject of the raids is suspicions of tax evasion relating to customs duties and import sales tax. It’s expected to be the last search for the foreseeable future, a press officer told Bloomberg.
