African Countries Seek to Craft Tax System for Whole Continent

African countries are partnering with three donors to develop a digital tax system for the continent’s governments to own following years of costly, piecemeal updates to their tax administration tools.

African Tax Administration Forum Executive Secretary Logan Wort told Bloomberg Tax in an interview that his organization was partnering with the African Development Bank and two other donors to “investigate the design” of a tax administration system for African countries. Wort didn’t provide further information on the other donors.
