AICPA Names Catherine Creps Chair of Auditing Standards Board

The American Institute of CPAs announced that Catherine Creps, a KPMG audit partner, has been named the new chair of the Auditing Standards Board, the institute said Monday.

Creps, who has served as a member of the board for the last three years, will assume her duties at the end of May, succeeding Sara Lord of RSM US, the institute said.

The ASB issues standards for auditing private companies, quality management standards, and attestation standards, as well as developing practice guidance for performing audit and attestation engagements under AICPA standards.
