The Alabama Legislature enacted a law amending the state code relating to rural health care and the Rural Hospital Investment Program. The law includes expanding the definition of utility tax, and discusses the eligible taxes and taxpayers for the program. The law takes effect immediately. [H.B. 245, enacted 02/04/26]
