Anheuser-Busch Requests $262,000 Missouri Sales Tax Refund

Anheuser-Busch InBev Worldwide Inc. asked the state of Missouri to refund approximately $262,300 in sales and use taxes, arguing that purchases of various goods including marketing materials and livestock feed are tax-exempt under state law.

The brewer argued that memory cards and software it bought qualified for a manufacturer exemption. It also said that marketing items and iPhones it purchased were sent outside Missouri and livestock feed it bought for its farm are exempt under state law.
