A recycling technology company founder convicted of evading nearly $5 million in tax failed to convince the D.C. Circuit that a district court’s rulings should be challenged.
Michael Sang Han, founder of Envion Inc., spent millions in investor funds on personal expenses, including Porsche sports cars, from 2004 to 2009. His company “never sold any recycling technology and never earned any revenue,” and he was convicted of evading taxes on his 2010 and 2011 returns and sentenced to 48 months in prison.
