Arizona DOR Issues Statement on Pinal County Transportation Tax Refunds

The Arizona Department of Revenue (DOR) Aug. 30 issued a statement on refunds of the invalidated Pinal County Transportation Excise Tax. The Arizona Supreme Court invalidated Pinal County’s transportation tax last year. The DOR announced the conception of a refund program shortly after the decision. Since the announcement, the DOR and the Pinal Regional Transportation Authority (PRTA) have received a number of proposals for disbursing or expending the tax funds which could impact their final disposition.
