Australia’s finance department extended its ban on PricewaterhouseCoopers bidding for government contracts until a department examination of the firms’ “ethical soundness” has concluded.
The department announced Monday its agreement with PwC Australia in 2023 that the firm wouldn’t bid for any new government work until June 30 2025, would be extended until July 15, 2025.
The department’s “examination of PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia’s ethical soundness is ongoing. Once finalised finance will provide an update on the status of the cessation,” it said in an email Tuesday. It did not state when the examination would conclude.
