Baker McKenzie Partner Drops Record Suit Over Partnership Audits

A Baker & McKenzie LLP partner on Tuesday voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit demanding the IRS disclose records relating to its ramped-up partnership and pass-through entity audits.

George Clarke sued the IRS for failing to comply with his Freedom of Information Act request seeking records of policies, procedures, training materials, and other documents having to do with the agency’s recent focus on large partnerships’ tax compliance.
