Baker Tilly is cutting more than 200 staff following its merger with Moss Adams earlier this year.
The integration of the two accounting firms is resulting in a workforce reduction of approximately 210 employees—roughly 1.9% of the total organization, a Baker Tilly spokesperson said Thursday in an emailed statement. The majority of the conversations took place this week, and a few remaining ones will take place over the coming days.
“These decisions, while difficult, are intended to position the firm for long-term growth, agility, and enhanced service for our clients,” the spokesperson’s statement said.
