Beyond Meat Inc. is “fully committed” to strengthening its internal financial reporting safeguards after identifying weak spots, the company’s finance leader told analysts and investors Tuesday.
The plant-based protein maker can’t estimate when its annual financial report will be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, chief financial officer and treasurer Lubi Kutua said. The company, which is rebranding as Beyond The Plant Protein Co., has identified issues related to accounting for complex transactions, as well as procedures associated with inventory-related reporting.
