House appropriators are entering May with a third of their appropriations bills ready for the full chamber.
The House Appropriations Committee approved the Agriculture-FDA and National Security-State bills this week, adding to the Financial Services and Military Construction-VA measures the panel advanced a week prior.
Eight bills remain on the committee’s to-do list as House Republicans prepare for summer floor action, amid other pressing congressional priorities and a campaigning rush ahead of the November midterms.
