President Joe Biden on Friday announced that he is nominating Marjorie Rollinson to be IRS chief counsel, a position that would play a key role in implementing the Inflation Reduction Act.
Rollinson recently retired from Ernst & Young, and has previously worked in the IRS chief counsel’s office, according to the White House.
If confirmed by the Senate, Rollinson would lead an office that provides legal advice to the IRS. The IRS has been without a Senate-confirmed chief counsel since the start of the Biden administration.
